In early 2024, we received a customer complaint regarding the premature failure of our shale shaker screens during drilling operations. While the screens were designed to last 180 hours, they were failing after approximately 80 hours.
This was initially puzzling for our engineering team, as all our products undergo strict quality checks before shipment. After communicating directly with the customer’s field personnel, we identified the root cause: the screens were being installed in equipment made by a new manufacturer, whose design clearances differed slightly from other brands. This mismatch led to excessive friction and accelerated wear.
Through collaborative efforts between our team, the customer, and the equipment manufacturer, we implemented a solution within just two days, successfully resolving the compatibility issue and restoring expected screen life.
